How did you find out about us: The youtuber DukonRed1
How old are you?: 16
Where are you from?: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Are you in our Discord?: Yes
Why do you want to help with this project?: I really enjoy creative Minecraft building, especially at an academic level. I also highly enjoy the LOTR and Hobbit series. Why not mix both of these things I love and contribute to such a beautiful project that is Ardacraft and maybe show off a few of my tricks on the way.
Which Tolkien-related works have you read, seen or listened to?: I have seen all of the films several times.(LOTR, Hobbit) And some fan-made animated series.
Are there any styles that you excel at? Any styles which you have difficulty with?: I am very good at applying things when I see them, or when I have reference. I do highly enjoy Elven builds but I decided to challenge myself here with Dwarven. The only thing I struggle with is certain instances of planning. But, using wool I find I’ve improved a lot.
Other relevant skills: I can call people a cuck with no remorse.
You’re clearly pretty good at interior detailing, but there isn’t much to your exterior. Do you have any older builds to show? Could you perhaps build a Forlindon-styled house?
It looks like that you don’t have the resource packs enabled, seeing the lack of connected textures and default conquest paintings in your interior. Please enable both the Conquest Reforged pack, and the AC overlay on top of that.
Here is the finished Forlindon style build, I wasnt planning on doing interior, so the layout was rather bizzare, I feel like I could have done better in some of the rooms but happy with the build overall.
I encourage you to come see the build for yourself at -15,5.
I think this looks really good, and honestly I think it shows enough skill to get builder. But I would tour Mithlond a bit and take some ideas from there. Namely I wouldn’t rely solely on arches to detail your walls. Flat walls with other misc details are as nice, if not nicer than simply an arch. I think it would be worth checking out.
