I have been trying to get this launcher to run properly, I have reinstalled it and 64 bit Java 8 numerous times, and I continue to have this problem.

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Invalid initial heap size: -Xms4096M
The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size.
Process ended with code: 1

I have tried changing the maximum and minimum memory from the Launcher>Options>Java tab, and this problem persists.

If I set both to 1024MB, however, I can start the modpack, but it then crashes when I load the game due to “Insufficient memory allocated.”

This bit means you are running on Java 7, you need Java 8
