Its more just the way it merges into the wall. Usually walls have an abrupt border where they meet the rock below.

good point but - just as a point in those pictures it a really sharp line
, unlike the minecraft castle above where its sort of pixelated with bricks and stone merging togerther in an odd pattern

it it was clear cut it would work better
rather than looking like noise or if the colors were closer it wouldnt be so noticeable as messy
