How did you find out about us?
My brother told me about the server and asked me to try it out because I love Lord of the Rings and all the stuff related to it.

How old are you?
I am 14

Where are you from?
I am from Austria

Are you in our Discord?
Yes

Why do you want to help with this project?
I love the world Tolkien created and I love to build it in Minecraft.

Which Tolkien-related works have you read, seen or listened to?
I read “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings” I also all the films. Currently I am reading “The Children of Hurin”

Plot ID: -16:-1

Are there any styles that you excel at? Any styles which you have difficulty with?
I find it hard for myself to build things in the elvish style. The other styles are pretty solid, I think. Also I am not the best in belonging to WorldEdit.

Other relevant skills
Im not good at coding and wouldn’t consider myself a resourcepack creator.

Also do not wonder about the second account on my plot. It is my other Minecraft account, because I lost the Email from my first. But I was able to recover the account. So EnderenHD is my main account.

Thanks for applying.

Could you please upload a new album with screenshots of your plot without shaders?

Thanks

Ok The new ones are here https://imgur.com/a/lvagC

Alright, Enderen! This is quite promising, here is something I notice.

+, I like that you are able to full the room with details/furniture without making it look messy.
+, You use different materials from floor, walls, and ceiling. That’s good.

-, The Warehouse needs some improvements, to give an example: Meat shouldn’t hang around random in the ceiling. Meat should be put together, the same with vegetables and so on. The warehouse would have some degree of an organized system. Perhaps add some shelves and stuff. Try to avoid a bunch of creates in a corner.
-, Its hard to pinout what exactly you are doing wrong. Because in a sense it works, but I think it has the potential to look better. Like, do not use tudor trapdoor for the bench. Rather look for something that looks better. Same with other details, the large pillars are fine, but it could be made in a better way.

I want to give you one challenge before I give you the permission to build on our server. I want to see a beorning house in the style of /warp burh3. It should be a low-class house, profession carpenter and family of 5.

Post new screenshots here when you are done.

Good luck, and take your time.

Ok, I made all these things the screenshots are on the same link
Hopefully the last one.

I asked you to build a low-class house, carpenter, a family of 5. Then I need more than two screenshots. Where is the carpentry, I can’t see any beds. I mean, give me more than two screenshots, I want to see the details I asked for.

Please warp one more time to burh3 and look at the shape of the roofs and see if you can figure out what you have done wrong.

For now, fix the roof and upload new screenshots.

And please do not message me everywhere, I will give you a response when I have time.

Ok I build a new house because I want to learn how to build better you can see the pictures on the same link

Alright, this is pretty good. Keep this in mind for next time:

  • Always cover the roof tiles with planks inside. Here
  • I can see wood blocks diagonal for the fire in the fireplace, make sure that a fireplace is safe. Another example, if you but a candle right below the ceiling it could become a fire hassle. Think realism.
  • The ceiling is too flat. Perhaps use slabs and trapdoors.

This is decent, I will promote you to apprentice! There is still stuff to improve, but you can do so on the server. Welcome!

Please read the information below carefully.

Being an Apprentice means you are a part of the project, but not a full Builder yet. You have this rank so you can learn and understand how we build. We have high standards and a focus on realism which means that there are things for you to learn.

Your duties as an Apprentice should give you good grounding to become a Builder, and, as such, you will begin your first lot of on-server building work assisting current Builders on their builds. This will hopefully allow you to obtain the experience needed to build on your own when you feel you can start on building something on your own.

When building as an Apprentice, you are only permitted to build on one building at a time. This not only provides you with good practice for your time as a Builder, but also allows project leaders and Overseers to get a good and clear idea of what your building abilities are. This will allow us to give you better and more bespoke feedback, and prevent any unnecessary problems.

Finally, as an Apprentice you must always listen to project leaders when they give you feedback, criticisms, and tasks. Ask them if you are unsure of what to build, or how to build it. You have this rank to learn.(edited)
In order to eventually obtain Builder, please read the guidelines below:

When you build a house in a project and think it is finished, you should post a comment on this application thread with the closest warp and coordinates of your house. Then Builders or Overseers will comment on this thread and give you fair feedback. When you have achieved a standard of building that matches the basic standard of the server, you will be promoted to Builder. This could be on your first build or one further down the line.

ArdaCraft is a friendly community that explores the freedom to create and build together. However, when we are dealing with an enormous project like this there are some guidelines we need to follow to make it work.

Firstly, always name the stuff you build. We have a set of project blocks that we use - you can read about those in the new player guide at ‘/warp spawn’.

Secondly, if you are looking for something to help out with, you can type ‘/warp jobs’. This is where you can find all open jobs like building houses or something similar. You will be provided with instructions on how to get to these projects, and what to build once you get there.

Thirdly, do not be afraid to ask members for help and get to know us. This is a community project and it’s important to be part of the community! Stay active on Discord and the forums. Make sure to let Fornad know who you are on Discord so that he can give you the appropriate rank on there.

Okay, I’ve built a house in Thorin’s Hall by now. It’s in the East Refuge. I hope you like it and please let me know what you think about it.

You need to post the co-ordinates

X -7158
Y 45
Z-2580
Her are the coordinates frióm the house

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the house, nice job. HOwever, even though it looks good, there’s a few things you have to change so the house fits the dwarves that live there better. Guigui has been so kind to put up a few signs with pointers for you. For example, there’s a reading/book area downstairs which you better change a bit, as well as an hourglass and a golden globe lying around somewhere. The house you built is for miners and they don’t have any real use for those. I’d also like you to change the material of the stairs to regular blue schist or that other dwarven texture which looks a lot like blue schist.
