Hello Capt, and welcome to Ardacraft. I’ll be your mentor through your application process.

Overall, your build is good, in keeping with the guide and, with a few paintings and a little more know-how of our building techniques, I’d happily add it to the main map.

For your second build, I’d like you to make a lower class Rohan house with 8 beds. Just the main structure will do, there’s no need for a bakehouse or garden. The Rohan guide is at, unsurprisingly, /warp RohanGuide, and obviously there’s the entirity of Rohan to look at for examples. If you need any help, just give me a shout.

Thanks for the feedback Sunwing, I have completed the low-class Rohan house as requested. Do you need an Imagur album or do you just want to look in-game?

Ok, it’s good so far, but it needs a lot more clutter. The exterior is great, but my advice on the interior is to split the house into ‘rooms’, without actually building walls.
So, gather all the beds at one end as a sort of bedroom, should take up about a third of the space. Add some natural hides and stuff to the floor for a bit more warmth during the night, I usually go with sheep skin or wolf skin in a 2x2 square.
The other two thirds are your daytime bits, the central hearth should be for cooking, or gathering round in the evening, so add some benches and cooking things, foodstuffs and things. The other end is other stuff, a table to sit at, storage for tools and things and, if space allows, maybe a loom.
Throw up some more beam work along the length of the house, like my example, to show that it’s supporting the thatch roof, and job done.

It sounds like a lot, but honestly, when you’ve done it a few times, it gets much easier.

Thanks for the feedback Sunwing, I have followed your advice and split it into 3 segments and filled it up a lot more. I hope it is of sufficient quality. Can’t wait to see your feedback for the updated version

You’ve taken on board what I’ve said, and while there’s still a ways to go in certain aspects, I’m happy to promote you to Apprentice.

Being an Apprentice means you are a part of the project, but not a full Builder yet. You have this rank so you can learn and understand how we build. We have high standards and a focus on realism which means that there are things for you to learn. Your duties as an Apprentice should give you good grounding to become a Builder, and, as such, you will begin your first lot of on-server building work assisting current Builders on their builds. This will hopefully allow you to obtain the experience needed to build on your own when you feel you can start on building something on your own.

When building as an Apprentice, you are only permitted to build on one building at a time. This not only provides you with good practice for your time as a Builder, but also allows project leaders and Overseers to get a good and clear idea of what your building abilities are. This will allow us to give you better and more bespoke feedback, and prevent any unnecessary problems. Keep in mind that you are only allowed to work on something if you have permission from a project leader via an open plot or confirmation if it’s something else. Finally, as an Apprentice you must always listen to project leaders when they give you feedback, criticisms, and tasks. Ask them if you are unsure of what to build, or how to build it. You have this rank to learn.

Update on my work so far for you Sunwing:

Completed an inner wall section at Caras - Approved by Olaf
Completed bridge in Caras - Not yet approved
Completed a hedge in Caras - Not yet approved
Haven’t got an Imgur album for these yet but will happily do one. They just take like 30 mins to do cause my thing can’t take screenshots in full screen so I have to edit each screenshot individually. (Sorry for the small rant)

Application on hold after talking with Cap.
